They are observing the landscape around them when all of a sudden an animal catches their eye. An extraordinary encounter which changes everything. Or at least this is what we can assume from what we are hearing, because except for the three people in front of us, the stage is empty, and everything is left to the spectator and their imagination. Soon, spoken word gives way to new meanings. Inspired by long walks off the hiking trail in the gorges du Doubs and by the songs that were composed then, <em>Cadeau,<\/em>\u00a0is a singular piece because of its sound design and its approach to staging. Meaning emerges from the gap between what we hear and what we see, the performer\u2019s startled and clownish presence, as well as the silent gestures which orchestrate their relations and the songs. The piece raises questions about society and ecology between the lines; what if, beyond its slightly slapstick comic dimension, <em>Cadeau<\/em> was in fact more political than it seems at first?<\/p>\n","protected":false,"raw":"Three friends are taking a walk in the woods. Bient\u00f4t la parole c\u00e8de le pas, le sens s\u2019ouvre \u00e0 une autre dimension.\r\nInspir\u00e9 par de longues balades hors-pistes dans les gorges du Doubs et par les chansons compos\u00e9es dans la foul\u00e9e, <em>Cadeau<\/em>\u00a0tire sa singularit\u00e9 de la cr\u00e9ation sonore et de son rapport \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne. Le sens surgit du d\u00e9calage entre ce que l\u2019on entend et ce que l\u2019on voit, de leur pr\u00e9sence mi effar\u00e9e mi clownesque, de la partition gestuelle silencieuse qui orchestre leurs relations et des chansons. Questionnements \u00e9cologique et social se dessinent entre les lignes.
