Yasmine Hugonnet is a dancer and choreographer. She is interested in the relationship between form, image and sensation, in the germination of the imagination, in the (de)construction of choreographic language, in the process of incarnation and appropriation. Born in Switzerland, she studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur en Danse Contemporaine de Paris. At the same time, she is interested in contact dance, improvisation, Butô and choreographic research. From 2009 to 2013, she created her company Arts Mouvementés in Lausanne and engaged in a long period of solitary research. She produced several solos: in 2013 Le Rituel des Fausses Fleurs, in 2014 Le Récital des Postures, presented at the Sélection Suisse in Avignon, acclaimed by the press and professionals, and winner of the Swiss Dance Prize in 2017. In 2015, she created La Traversée des Langues, presented at the Printemps de Sévelin in Lausanne, in which she developed a practice of ventriloquism initiated in Le Récital des Postures. In 2016, she presented La Ronde-quatuor at the Rencontres Chorégraphiques de Seine Saint-Denis and at the Venice Dance Biennale. In 2017, she created the solo Se sentir vivant at Programme Commun 2017. Supported by the Theatre de Vidy in Lausanne since 2017, she created Chro no lo gi cal in 2018, Extensions in 2019 and Seven Winters in 2020, invited to the Festival d’Automne in Paris. In 2021 she created the solo La Peau de l’Espace at the Théâtre de Vidy, winner of the Prix Suisse de la Danse, and in 2022 her company received support from Label + romand for the project Les Porte-Voix. Yasmine Hugonnet / Arts mouvementés is currently a company under agreement with the city of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud.
