Marie Fourquet

Marie Fourquet lives and works in Lausanne. She’s an author, director and performer who wrote over 10 plays that have been performed in Switzerland, France, Belgium and Cuba. Her sharp writing tackles themes that are as political as they are intimate, from male emancipation in Pour l’instant, je doute to Europe, l’échappée belle, which she wrote when she obtained her Swiss citizenship. She has been granted writing fellowships by institutions such as the Leenaards Foundation, the Prix Prairie du pour cent culturel Migros, and Textes-en-Scène by the SSA. She is also a radio chronicler and TV scriptwriter in Switzerland.
